1.4460 / AISI 329 / SS2324 / DIN X3CrNiMoN27-5-2 is an acid resistant duplex stainless steel designed for machining. It has excellent corrosion properties.

In 1.4460 / AISI 329 / SS2324 / DIN X3CrNiMoN27-5-2 duplex stainless steel, detail production is easy with extensive machining, as steel machinability is improved. Steel has very good corrosion resistance, especially in chloride-containing environments, and is extra resistant to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking and corrosion fatigue. It also has high strength and toughness.

1.4460 welding is possible and does not need to be welded with welding consumables similar to the base material. Steel should be welded as an austenitic material with as low heat input as possible. It can be formed both cold and hot.
