1.4362 / DIN X2CrNiN23-4 – UNS S32304
Duplex 1.4362 is another variant of two-phase austenitic-ferritic grades with high mechanical properties and increased corrosion resistance, especially in post-weld and delivery conditions.
1.4362 and UNS S32304 grades are used in the paper, petrochemical and fuel industries, chemical, shipbuilding, nitrogen, aviation, construction, heat and power generation and cryogenic industries.
Supplied mostly in the form of rods, plates and pipes, steel is used in the manufacture of chemical compounds, responsible screws, sleeves, valves, shafts, agitators, desalination systems, flanges, pumps, pipelines, tanks for radiators, and the construction of aircraft structures.
Duplex 1.4362 / DIN X2CrNiN23-4 has high resistance to acid environments and stress corrosion. It is a very good alternative to austenitic AISI 316L / 1.4404 stainless steel and is interchangeable with 1.4460 / DIN X3CrNiMoN27-5-2.
