Uses of 1.4596 stainless steel are highly stressed parts that require good corrosion resistance and very good mechanical properties. It is generally used in the aviation and space industry.

1.4596 is a very high purity, vacuum melt and consumable electrodes melt precipitation hardened stainless steel. It has excellent mechanical properties in longitudinal and transverse directions. 1.4596 aged stainless steel has an excellent balance between strength, toughness and fatigue properties, especially at the force level of 1400 N / mm2 (> PH13-8Mo). Its resistance to corrosion and stress corrosion and weldability is good.
