1.4435

1.4435 is a higher alloyed 1.4404 grade and is generally considered a grade of stainless steel because of its excellent resistance to all forms of corrosion and the excellent surface finish that can be achieved.

The 1.4435 shows excellent resistance to corrosion in most natural waters, even with moderate chloride and salt contents. 1.4435 shows excellent corrosion properties in the food, beverage and agriculture sectors. It is also resistant to corrosion in various acid environments.

Due to its low carbon content, 1.4435 is resistant to intergranular corrosion after welding, ie in the sensitized state.

High molybdenum content compared to 1.4404 makes 1.4435 more resistant to corrosion in reducing acids and chloride-containing environments.

Optimum mechanical and manufacturing properties occur after solution annealing in the temperature range of 1000 - 1100 ° C followed by rapid cooling in air or water.
